Morning in Marylebone

Jenny usually stays in Marylebone, where mornings begin with a coffee from Special Guests, The Monocle Café, or Avobar. It’s one of her favorite neighborhoods to wander — full of charm, quiet corners, and independent shops worth discovering.

If you’re in the mood for something sweet, stop by Arôme Bakery on Duke Street for one of their elaborate pastries — best enjoyed in the park, while journaling and people-watching. Jenny sometimes loves getting lost in the side streets, daydreaming about one day owning a flat nearby.

Midday Moments

For lunch, Jenny gravitates toward places that balance comfort and creativity. Farmer J is her go-to for a quick, wholesome meal, while 40 Maltby and Café Deco are perfect for slower afternoons.

Afterward, take a walk through Somerset House or along the bridge down to the Tate Britain — a simple way to see the city’s rhythm shift from busy to beautifully calm. And if you happen to find yourself shopping at Selfridges or Mount St., consider it part of the adventure. The area is also filled with small galleries, boutiques, and museums that invite slow exploration.

Where the Night Begins

Dinner in London is all about atmosphere. Gymkhana is worth the wait for a reservation, and Manteca in Shoreditch never disappoints — start with the fried olives and mussels, share a few pastas, and a bottle of house red. The Dover is perfect for a chic girl's night out, and for something lively and full of flavor, Hoppers is another favorite of Jenny's.

The Night Unwinds

End the day with a nightcap at The Beaumont Mayfair's Le Magritte Bar, where the cocktails are smooth and the staff feel like old friends, or at the Red Room at The Connaught, an art-filled hideaway that glows after dark. Don't forget to check out the cigar room in the back too.
